Echoes at Rising Gallery explores what remains after the first impact—after the image is made, after the message is delivered, after the moment has passed. The exhibition brings together works that operate like afterimages: fragments, repetitions, and returns that linger in the mind and reappear in the street.
Across painting, works on paper, and mixed media, Echoes traces the way contemporary urban imagery travels—how a mark becomes a symbol, how a symbol becomes a story, and how that story changes hands as it moves through public space. These pieces are not fixed statements; they’re signals. They reference what came before while insisting on the present.
Rising Gallery presents Echoes as an invitation to look twice. To notice the residue: the humor, the tension, the critique, the tenderness. In a culture of fast consumption, this exhibition asks for a slower kind of attention—one that recognizes that the most powerful images don’t end when you walk away.
Echoes is the sound of the street continuing indoors—reverberating, reframing, and refusing to fade.
